Since this board has been nothing but TV descrambler ads recently,
let's give one last attempt to make it a grizz fan board....

Lorenzen Wright's contract is expiring this year......should we re-sign
him or go after som eFA big men? I think Big Ben is definitely going to
re-sign with Pistons so there is not much hope there...but there are
other servicable centers having the last year of their contracts
.....Nazr (Spurs is keeping him?) Przybilla , Tony Battie (most likely
to be released as they got Darko now), Collins in Utah......

How about trades? If the Suns doesn't play B. Grant, does he have
anything left in the tank for us?

. I hear you. Grizz fan here, in Memhis.

.. I like Lorenzen, but I do think however, it's time for him to move
on. We need rebounding, that Wright doesn't seem to get enough of
anymore, though Coach Mike's losing his mind when it comes to playing
time for some of the players.. There was some buzz around town recently,
that we should make a trade for Carlos Boozer, but it was pretty much
just "fan speculation". Boozer does get the boards, it'd been nice.

. there's really not much there is there. know 'm glad they didn't end
up geting some of the guys they wanted like Olakanbi who haven't
produced.

... I dont know. We trust Jerry West, and he has at least turned this
franchise from an embarasment to a playoff team, but there are still so
many holes to fill, and big name free agents just don't look to sign
here, West has to make trades, somehow, somewhere.

If we can re-sign Lorenzen to something like 9 Mils for next 3 years, I
think it's an ok deal. But I doubt he is going to settle for that
here.....don't know really.

The Boozer idea is certainly intriguing....Okur works out for them so
they got a strong front court in Okur and AK...can work on their needs
for a quality SG.....Boozer is paid 11.5M per year till 2010, so that's
a big contract to match. And just happen we got a couple of SGs to
spare.....either we give them Eddie for Boozer + somthing (and I doubt
they would bite, Eddie is paid 15.6 Mil in the last yr of contract next
year), or Mike Miller + something for Boozer. The latter option should
really work for them (Mike Miller has 34.5 Mil left for the next 4
years, reasonable I guess) but I doubt it's a good deal for the Griz.

Should take this to the Jazz board to see what they think ;-)
