I went to the Sonics game in Memphis a week ago, Pau was incredible besides
the free throws. I can't understand why he doesn't get any calls for him
either offensively or defensively.

I think that Pau is a good player un memphis, but the coach tink that Pau
couldn't get 40 points for game, if pau plays 35 minutes, Pau gets 40 points
and 15 rebounds.
The problem is that his coach don't think in Pau. :(

Sorry for my level of English

Pau needs about 15 pounds more muscle and a mean streak to go with it
before he'll ever be a threat to score 40 in a game more than once.
He's a good player and I'm glad to see him in a Memphis uniform, but
he's not *THAT* good.

I agree he needs to beef up a bit. But the refs could show him a little more
love. With the huge knicks and suns trade that eventually got Charlie Ward
cut, where do you think he will wind up? I think he would be a great backup
to go along with Watson, Jones and some of the other younger guards.

I believe that Pau is the best player of Memphis, though he is not a
superstar. I think that gasol needs is that the coach confie in him
Lately he does not have good percentages but it is alone a bad squall. I
believe that when it finishes his contract should to continue in Memphis
because Jerry West registering good players and I believe that in two years
the Grizzlies will be in the play-off.
Have you seen to the Spanish selection in the eurobasket 2003? We were
second, I believe that in Athens we prune to stay between the first five.
Con Pau y Raul Lopez we have a good team.
Do you know Raul Lopez? He plays in utah, isn't titular, his number is 24.

I see Pau Gasol as a moderately good-to-great player. He could be much
better if he mixed it up more. Too, he has his lazy matador defensive
moments.

I think Gasol will leave Memphis as soon as his contract allows. Jerry
West, as well. The Griz don't need Kobe half as much as they need a couple
or 3 tall bulls down low!

Battier, also, I think will be gone soon as his contract allows and he has
been Model Citizen #1 in Memphis.

J. Williams -- he and his hot dogging can go anytime they wish, far as I'm
concerned.

And Hubie Brown could well be gone after this season; at most, after next
season.

Of course, only two teams in the NBA are satisfied at center. And why
do you think Jerry West will leave Memphis before he finishes what he
came here to do?

Uhh, you actually watch him play lately? He doesn't go razzle-dazzle
much anymore.

After Hubie leaves, they'll bring in a coach with experience winning,
rather than the builder that Hubie is.

And I don't think Battier is eager to leave, having a steakhouse open
and having a wife who teaches at a local school.

I don't think Detroit or New Orleans have any worries about their
centers.

Hubie will have Jason playing like an all star by next season.

I think Jerry will keep Hubie as long as the team improves season to
season. And I see no reason that it won't

Magloire at 12 and 9 for New Orleans? Mehmet Okur and Elden Campbell
for Detroit? At any rate, I was wrong. Three teams are satisfied at
center: Lakers, Spurs (assuming they consider Duncan the center and
Nesterovic the 4), and Rockets.

I don't think Hubie gets forced out, sorry if that was implied. I think
Hubie will retire again before too long, though.

Is this THE BILL E. BURK from the old Memphis P-S??? For some
reason I thought you had passed. Watch out or I'll get the late Father "C"
from Saint "P"
John Birch Society friends to haunt you!

As far as Gasol, He has established himself. He has mental lapses. I am not
sure another team would be as patient. btw, his younger brother is playing
(redshirt) at
U of Memphis after Graduating from a private Memphis High School
(Lausianne). I think Pao's ties to Memphis are too great to leave.

Jerry
West, as well.
The only way Jerry West leaves is to be an owner of a team, or retirement!
Memphis has
re-energized Mr West. And I think he has proven he can build a team as a GM.

Kobe has marquee value well beyond his abilty. West, Brown, and Memphis are
the situations
that make a Kobe signing possible. Koobe will make Pao and J-Will allstars
in a year!

Battier, also, I think will be gone soon as his contract allows and he has
been Model Citizen #1 in Memphis.
He will leave only IF he is primised a starting position, and that could end
up being a
Grant Hill type of situation. His (Shane's) wife is teaching in
Memphis(Lausianne). He is a
popular PR advertising face in Memphis, He actually enjoys his role. I see
him moving to the front office
in Memphis or connecting as a local business exec. He is not a one
dimensional basketball player.
He has the degree and the skill to exist in the non basketball world.

J. Williams -- he and his hot dogging can go anytime they wish, far as I'm

J-Will should be voted NBA's most improved player. He has taken to Hubie's
system!
I think he will thrive and prosper under Hubie!

Now this statement is possible. Hubie is not young and he has a year-to-year
contract. This will be decided with considerations on his health. Besides
Hubie is a builder,
and builders get tired after the project is built.

Actually, Marc Gasol is playing for Pau's old team in Barcelona. I read
the reports of him going to the U of M too, but it didn't happen.

Marc Gasol, the brother of Pau, this is playing in FC Barcelona like made
Pau but he plays very little, 3 minutes every game, it is not a type of
player as Pau because Marc plays of pure center because he has a big and
strong body. Marc Gasol I do not believe create that will play in the NBA.

Here in Spain there has been spoken this last week on which the fans of
Memphis whistled at Pau because he was doing a bad game, in the same game
Pau shoot very important baskets in the last minute and Grizzlies won the
game, since then Pau has had very good games. This night he has put 27
points to the Wolves. I do not see the games, but I read chronicles and see
the statistics.
Do you see Gasol in all star? I think that Pau shouldn't be in all star
because he is a eficiency player, but he isn't a spectacular player.

I'm seeing from here all star, Who do you think that win the MVP of all star
game?
